Do I need to book?
Your first class is free but yes, please do book so I know you are coming! If it’s your first time then you will need to complete a short health questionnaire so I am aware of any medical issues before we start our class. How much is the class?
Prices vary depending on how many classes you attend each week. We have a package to suit everyone from those coming once a week to those wanting to train at every class! Just book in for your free taster class and we can then decide the best option to suit your specific needs. To find out more just email me at email@example.com.
Do I need to bring anything?
I recommend you bring your own mat and weights where possible. If you do not have any then I have some equipment I can provide, along with wipes and hand gel (covid compliant!) Everything is sanitised between classes. Please also bring some water to keep hydrated.
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! I recommend comfy sportswear and well fitting trainers. In the winter, don’t forget to wear layers and bring a headband or hat and especially gloves.
I feel like I am unfit / too old / overweight. Can I still come?
Of course! Everyone has to start their fitness journey somewhere. The most important thing is a positive attitude towards change, just put on your trainers and get yourself to the class – I will take care of the rest! Each class has options for every level and ability. Everyone works at their own pace with my support and absolutely no judgement. I can guarantee you will see the improvements very quickly if you put the effort in.
What sort of things will I have to do at a class?
Every class is different. But we always start with a warm up to mobilise our bodies and warm our muscles and each class ends with a cool down period and some stretching. At bootcamp we generally use or own body weight and the environment around us, however we often mix it up with dumbbells, resistance bands, kettlebells, battle ropes and much more. There are always options so whatever your fitness level you can fully take part. Most importantly, every class is varied, enjoyable and fun.
I have an injury, will I be ok?
This depends on the nature of your injury. As I run small classes, I am usually able to adapt an exercise to an individual’s needs but please do get in touch with me so I can advise you better. I would also strongly recommend speaking with a GP or physio before increasing your level of physical activity if you have a persistent injury.
Where are your classes?
Bootcamp is on the seafront between the Hythe & Saltwood Sailing Club and the Hythe Bay Bar & Grill. In the winter our evening classes move indoors or online. Active Yoga classes take place indoors or online and occasionally on the beach on sunny days. Personal Training can take place at my private gym, at your house or outside.
